About Dr. Meghan Garrett

As a certified school psychologist and licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania, I believe that children and teens are able to make the most progress when all their support systems are working together toward common goals.

My primary focus has been working with children and teens in schools to help improve their executive functions, social skills, emotional self-regulation, and resiliency when facing everyday challenges.

I truly believe that it does “take a village” to raise and support our children, and I aim to help families access all the support systems and services that are available to them. My approach is collaborative with clients, their families, medical providers, and school staff.

The purposes of my evaluations are to present detailed, thorough ‘pictures’ of clients in order to identify effective interventions for home, school, and the community.

I use evidence-based strategies that are practical, generalizable, and individualized to each client’s strengths and needs. I have worked with children and families with a variety of needs including autism, ADHD, executive functioning deficits, learning disorders (including dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia), brain injuries, social-emotional and behavioral problems, and low-incidence disabilities.

I see my role in evaluations and therapy as a guide to help children and families on the journey of recognizing, understanding, and overcoming challenges that are impacting their lives.

My personal interests include bicycling, yoga, reading, and maintaining my own mindfulness self-care. I am happy to provide more information about my background in our initial encounter.
